Fireman Training
The other day, while waiting to speak to my daughter’s guidance counselor, I started flipping through a magazine in his office. I came across an ad for fireman training and was very surprised. I guess I never stopped to think about how firefighters get trained. I just assumed it was on-the-job training or special classes offered through the local fire department. There are books and videos you can buy as well as courses you can take. You learn something new every day. They also had courses on how to move up within the department. It seems there is a lot more involved in being a firefighter than I ever dreamed of.
