FDA Labeling Is an Important Part of the Import Business
I recently accepted a position with a company that does a lot of food importing from foreign countries. It will be an interesting and challenging position. My first assignment is to come to an understanding of the FDA Labeling Systems and procedures. Whether we can bring certain foods and drugs into the country to sell in our chain of stores is dependednt on whether or not they are both approved and labeled correctly. There are a lot of important aspects to getting that required labeling in place for our products, but of course, having these items available in our stores draws in more customers, and that’s what it’s all about.
