Things You Learn at Performing Arts Schools – What to Wear to an Audition: Some industry insiders are going to say to dress according to the type of the character. Other say dress lightly so that you feel comfortable during the audition. My opinion? Go with whatever you think is more comfortable for you, but try to combine a hint of the character in what you are wearing. It is a good idea to do some rehearsing before the audition. If you plan on moving a lot, make sure the clothes you are wear work for you. It will make a tense situation much easier for you.
